Typical big business whitewash, how thick do they think we are?
Problem is they don't distinguish between intensive and extensive production systems. Pasture fed animals overall reduce co2.
'Fertilised' with chemicals, on degrading soils, producing nutrient deficit food. I thought most vegan food was flown half way round the world anyway, (after being produced in the aforesaid manner)!
That nutcase Monbiot would like it all to go to scrub, and re-introduce Lynx and Wolves! True a vegan diet does effect their brains.
Shouldn't think that they would make it into the second half if they were truly vauge ones!
Afraid I left Waitrose / Sainsburys for Aldi, no regrets.
Thanks for that Gilli
Old farmer in our village was on a bottle of scotch a day, (I used to help him sometimes!), and died at 92, I'd settle for that. All this anti booze hype really annoys me when you see all the sugary...
There was some professor banging on about the eat badly plate yesterday on Radio 4. I really thought that we had got beyond that stage now.
This video by Alan Savory is worth a watch

I have drunk copious amounts of red wine thoughout my time on Harcombe and it hasn't affected my weightloss. But eat a bagette and I'll be up a couple of pounds in the morning, not that I have for...
Hasn't done me any harm for the last 40 years! The liver is hit as hard by sugar as alcohol, and I think that mine copes well because it has no sugary crap to deal with. We all know that...
I drink a bottle of red most nights, doesn't affect my weight, nor did it stop me losing 4 1/2 stones, but I do go steady on the ale. I should see if it affects you before you buy the hair vest!
I'm semi vegetarian, meat and as much veg as I can get hold of!
Just watched a bit of the last episode on 4 player. Couldn't stomach any more of it ( if you'll excuse the pun!).
It was all there, kids making up the 'eatwell' plate with bread and pasta, some...
Shouldn't there be some cat in there somewhere?!!
Just heard on the radio 4 farming programme about a trade delegation which has gone to China to promote exports of British food. Apparently the Chinese are getting a taste for our biscuits and...
Anyone hear this, she talked a lot of sense

At about 46.25(not my usual listening, but radio 4 was on in the tractor!)
If our relations sometimes think that we are strange on THD, what if we all took up this one?

Eat all the junk you want, but pray a lot and you won't get hungry!

I don't think that she's posted much more than Zoe puts in magazine articles, and far less than people can read for free on this forum. I would say that there is no such thing as bad publicity. It...
I think this is another 'Harcombe conundrum! Beer contains no fat, only carbohydrate. So if you drink it with a carb meal, or 4 hours either side of a fat one, I would say it would be OK. I know...
I had a shish kebab the other night, with all the salad but no pitta bread stuff. I think that that qualifies.
I can recomend this site. It contains videos showing that some farmers are passionate about the food that they produce, and are trying to produce it in the most sustainable way possible.
