Thread: Stage 1 lunches I can take to work

Default Stage 1 lunches I can take to work

Any suggestions for food I can make the night before and take into work? I'm vegetarian and there's also no way of heating my lunch at work, so it needs to be something that's still good cold!

Would rice pasta be allowed as part of my brown rice allowance? Thinking of some sort of pasta salad.

Don't think you are allowed pasta, what about rice salad.

Cold omelettes with onion, garlic, courgette, pepper, tomato cooked till golden in small amount of butter, beaten eggs little water and salt and pepper. Lovely hot and really tasty cold.

Salad with chopped tomatoes, mixed peppers, lettuce, cress, spring onion, celery, etc with homemade mayonnaise or allioi, hard boiled eggs.

Brown rice pasta is OK as long as that's all that's in it.

If you could take a flask, you would increase the range of things you could take - BNS curry, ratatouille etc.

What about Gazpacho?? That's the only cold, veggie based thing I can think of! Other than salad...

Here's a random recipe I found - I've never made it myself though! Maybe the red wine vinegar could be substituted for cider vinegar instead just for Phase 1. I think it's cider vinegar that's allowed, someone else please jump in on this one!

Yes, cider vinegar is allowed in phase 1 and is good for Candida busting

Make a large tray of roasted veg - eat some hot for supper and have the rest cold for lunch mixed with cooked brown rice or brown rice pasta + cherry toms & cucumber cubes. Use olive oil & lemon juice dressing.

You could get a wide mouthed food flask for taking hot things to work.
