Thread: Streaky bacon

    Default Streaky bacon

Just been reading through a few other posts and am wondering whether I'd be better off buying streaky bacon - where's the most economical place to buy it in bulk? I normally buy the back bacon in bulk and freeze it in packs of 3 rashers.

If you like streaky its certainly a cheaper option and is full of fat so good for THD. Sorry I cant help with the bulk thing.

I only like streaky, I buy it from the supermarket rindless, I have seen bigger packs but they tend to have the rind on.

My OH likes rinds on their own, cooked crispy.... He's welcome!

I buy the cheap off cuts (Asda & Morrisons) packet only about 80p and it's always a surprise, sometimes streaky and sometimes chunky stuff, but all v tasty!

I found the streaky bacon really really thin so I wasn't as satisfied off it.

Suzanne do u get them off cuts in a packet or from the counter? I would love that and I'm pretty sure my dogs would too hehe
