Default Blitz Day 3 - No TV

Just read the email for day 3 and noticed

"There should be no TV this evening and aim to go to bed half an hour earlier than usual."

Was there a previous e-mail / blog post explaining this?

What is the logic of no TV.

I have to admit I've ignored that bit of advice Steve. I presume the idea is to get youinto a calm, relaxed state but it would have the opposite effect on me.

to reduce the effect of screen glare - more natural to adjust to falling light levels than watching a screen right up to sleepy time. I don't have a TV so it's an easy one for me. I haven't been able to the bedtime walk as it is so hilly around here that no 30 minute walk can be 'gentle'!

No tv and earlier to bed - I'd be tossing and turning all night long.

I would love to go to bed 30 mins earlier, and will give it a go with reading, instead of falling asleep with the TV on as I normally do - just to see if it makes any difference. Bugger all on the box at present anyway (except Rise of the Continents, which is fascinating)!

You shouldn't have TVs and phones in your bedroom. The only electric thing I have in our bedroom is the two bedside lights.

How is that going to affect our weight loss though?

I quite enjoy going to bed early and reading sometimes, not often that.

Loads on the box, especially if you have one of those V+ or Sky+ boxes, plus all the on demand stuff.

And it is The Apprentice tonight.

I know, but it sends me to sleep! The more I want see what's on, the quicker I'm asleep!!

I also have a fan, a projection clock (so I don't have to hunt for my glasses to see what time it is) and a radio alarm.....
