Sarah, I'm not surprised your cat isn't keen on tinned tuna - I think it is the most boring foodstuff. Fresh tuna is an entirely different thing.

Has anyone tried potted shrimps? I haven't looked at a recipe, but I'm guessing they're Harcombe friendly - shrimps, butter, a bit of spice (something like mace?).

Potted shrimps are lovely, especially made with the tiny brown shrimp and it is mace that is added, although I have had it with a little cayenne pepper.

Must be served with brown bread and butter to be authentic.

I love tuna in oil... In brine or the no drain stuff, I agree is bland and boring! However, I have tried really hard to like fresh tuna, and it just doesn't do it for me, sorry! All the more for you, Carole!

I like it with a marinade of soy sauce, ginger, garlic and lime. Yummy.

The best potted shrimps come from Morcambe bay. They are delicious and I think Harcombe friendly. Lovely as part of a fish platter.
