    This from CNBC Africa:

El Nino is a warming of ocean surface temperatures in the eastern and central Pacific that occurs every few years, with global consequences. In Africa it often brings excessive rains to the east while the southern cone gets parched.

So obviously it must effect you guys too... though the warm patch is in the Pacific ocean and you are in the Indian ocean...so goodness knows really! My niece works at the Met Office in Exeter, I'll have to see if she knows!

Wow the Pacific ocean impacting Africa. There's a heck of a lot of water in the Indian ocean to be warmed up.

    Hi all,

Back again, still having tablet problems. Which means I am not on as often as I would like. I need to be as well as I am still struggling to get past that 9.5 mark. Hovering around 9.11 at the moment following big weekend in London, I had a massive Chinese in Chinatown as the twins choice for the 13th. Funnily enough I remember having a Chinese meal with my oldest who was turning 13 after 10 days on p1 when I started harcombe.

Nice to catch up with you all
