The simple message 'eat real food' coming form the Governments would do so much good. I feel angry at the poor advice given.

And still they put whole grains and fruit at the forefront of “healthy eating”. Those sorts of comments are accepted without question.

    Hi all
This is the original Lancet article behind these stories. These are usually only on open view for a week or two so grab it if you like the full monty!

Doing a couple of radio interviews on this, this afternoon.
    Bye for now - Zoe

p.s. this is the World Health Org plan for fixing it. Essentially 1) measure 2) counsel feeders/carers and 3) involve primary healthcare workers as necessary. 2 and 3 are designed to enforce dietary guidelines and so will only make things worse!

Yes it worked really well. And the appointment of Prof Grant Schofield as a nutrition advisor to schools is another big step forward. As ZoŽ would say he's one of the good guys, a low carber and healthy fat.

He's a Kiwi Sue, heard him speak at the Australian Health and Wellness summit last year and he's a dinamo.
Wish he was one of us, but then we'd have the DAA savaging him.yt?

Lunchbox police. Wasn't a mum berated recently for sending a chocolate - which was actually a sugar free fat bomb (do I mean that? or are those the things that clog up the sewers...oh no, that's fat BERG)..
