    Default Mini-Blitz thread

Christelle, Gilli, Brie and Hejoba are starting a mini-blitz on Monday 12 February 2018. Anyone who wants to do a strict Phase 1, or strict Phase 2 or test out some hypotheses about intolerances is very welcome to join us.

I plan to post my menu and my weight here each day.

    Weigh in: 90.2kg

breakfast eaten at 08:15: mussels, hake and salad
this is left overs from yesterday and the mussels were cooked in cream. I can just hope that it doesn't affect me.
I was not going to through good real food away. I tried not having any of the cream but they were cooked in it and some of this will invariably be in the meat

lunch has happened at 13:00 and was: 200ml yogurt and 100ml kefir

Dinner was steak and broccoli. This was after dance class at 20:30

I have done 13600 steps for the day.

    Good morning, mini-blitzers!

Today's weight is a nice round (heh, round) 157.0. Down only .1 from yesterday.

So far, just breakfast - I need to make bacon but didn't have time (I bake a ton in the oven now since it's easier and cleaner), so it's simple. Not sure what I'm doing for lunch & dinner. I have scads of food.

Breakfast @ 8am - 3 fried eggs, cup of Earl Grey. Will be drinking herbal tea the rest of the day. Trying to get off coffee this month, so let's see if I can do it starting now. Though I suppose EG is very similar in caffeine content?

Lunch @ 1230pm - leftovers from last night: two baked chicken tenders (had spice concoction of cumin, coriander, cayenne, paprika, cinnamon, salt & pepper that was held together with evoo, recipe from Epicurious) and some cooked broccoli with a smidge of butter, and a piece of bacon as I made a big batch and had to do some quality check.

Dinner @ 6:30pm - leftover salmon and roasted cauliflower with evoo.

I had ordered some really bougie salts and those finally came today -- a few samplers with all manner of adds, like coffee, vanilla/bourbon, cumin, rosť, etc. Favorites are the big ones I bought of ginger/lime and sriracha, and something called Voodoo which is a New Orleans blend (naturally) of really spicy stuff. I salt about everything anyway, so this makes it easy to add a bit of spice to something that would otherwise be bland. And, nothing that I'll use too much of -- I mean, it's salt after all.

Christelle - I am loathe to throw away perfectly good food as well. I hope it goes well.

First thing: 2 cups coffee with milk

B/L: cold roast duck & roast onions with hot broth from flask

D: broccoli, peas, salmon & cod with cup of tea to follow

    Drinks: Mint tea and water

Sorry about the milk, but Monday & Tuesday need to be as "normal" as possible.

I read your blog about this - of course you don't need our permission for the milk. I totally understand it. I really do enjoy it (cream) in my coffee especially. I didn't miss it much this morning since I had tea. Hope your day is going well!
