Default Thinking of going vegan: think again

Nice to see a reasoned article against going vegan to save the planet.

Good article RM. I think we will all be hearing more about regenerative farming in the next few years.

I do find all this vegan stuff difficult. The OH has been advised, by a cancer specialist from Addenbrookes, to eat a plant-based diet. He says that growth factors in animal products, especially dairy, fuel tumours. The science (and there's lots of it) makes perfect sense, for those with certain cancers. I can't stick to a vegan diet, because I believe 100% in this way of eating, but I do respect his wishes.

The more militant vegans out there seem to be clouding the whole issue and turning veganism, or plant based eating, into something very different to what my lovely OH is trying to do. I wonder if there might be some common ground, on a real food basis if nothing else.

I agree Ffion. The trouble isn't veganism. As you say there is a lot of good science in plant based diets for certain cancers etc. I wish your OH all the best xxx
