It is not that difficult to increase fibre with good real veg. The problem is with todays 'modern' families and eating on the hoof proper meals are not being prepared on the grounds that people do not have time.

I have read Zoe's article on fibre and concur with her research.

Those who eat more carb meals than fat may have a bit more fibre from the type of veg, grains, beans and oats they may choose but those who have fat meals can also have natural occurring fibre from the list of veg and berry fruits on offer also.

THD is not a NO carb or NO fibre WOE.

Ach! Talk about scaremongering! Of course 'low carb' doesn't mean 'no carb' and of course it includes fibrous plant matter. And then to say, 'get fibre from bread and breakfast cereals'... well, let's say the radio alarm woke me up a lot quicker than usual today! They didn't say either how the fibre helped... nor that cutting inflammation (by avoiding breakfast cereals, etc) goes a good way to cutting down the likelihood of CVD.

I did think the dietician they trotted out on BBC was quite careful to emphasise that fruit and veg are carbs, and that you might be reducing carbs for weight loss and so on, although she seemed to come down on the high fibre side in the end, I wasn’t entirely sure her heart was in it...
