    This article in the Times today nearly drove me to despair.

    Why do they keep churning out this rubbish?

    Makes me want to go out and buy a couple of chest freezers for the garage and stock on beef and lamb.

    I wouldn't mind if they looked for an alternative to concrete for use in housing - that's a much bigger issue than cattle!

    Problem is they don't distinguish between intensive and extensive production systems. Pasture fed animals overall reduce co2.
