    Default 100 Days of Harcombe

    Today I am celebrating 100 days of following The Harcombe Diet.
    I have lost 2 stone in 100 days and my BMI has gone from 32.1 to 27.3.
    I am the lightest I have been for 12 years.
    I came to Harcombe on the recommendation of my sister. I had already lost 3 stone with Slimming World, but had started to fight with it and felt I was a sugar and alcohol addict. Now, thanks to THD, I understand that I am really carb sensitive. I would like to get my BMI below 25, indeed my mum and sisters all have a BMI around 22. However I have never been anywhere near that ever: I was always the fat one, piggy in the middle as I was known! So, I happily continue living the Harcombe way and I am excited to see what happens next!

    The is so uplifting, you have done so well.

    Put the negative piggy in the middle down and never pick it up again. You may not have a BMI of 22 at the end but you can be very comfortable at whatever your natural weight is.

    You have made our day! HUGE congratulations on your fantastic achievement. What a lock down result! Well done to you and many thanks to sister for pointing you in our direction!

    You will be more than well aware that not only do you look amazing (you very kindly shared some pics privately with us) but you have done an amazing thing for your health - virtually no risk from COVID now, far less likelihood of diet related disease (type 2 diabetes, heart disease, joint pain and overload etc) and just generally you have taken - literally - a load from your body in so many ways.

    Below 25 BMI is a totally realistic goal now - you did extra well to lose c. a pound every 3 days given that you had already lost 3 stone! Keep chipping away, keep doing whatever you're doing and stay alert to the carb sensitivity. There will be stalls but you seem to be in a great mental place to ride them through.
