Thread: Dark Chocolate

Some people who calculate carb values subtract fibre (which is included in carb totals) because it is indigestible and passes through. Zoe does not subscribe to that (if I recall correctly). No-one would subtract sugars because they are a much quicker to absorb carb rather than a potentially unabsorbable indigestible carb.

    Hope that makes sense.

I have a bar of Lindt 90%, and the carb value is 14ģ, of which 7g are sugars. I'd expect the 100% to be lower carb, not 29g.

Overlea8, remember that the body breaks down any carbs into sugar.
Which means when you buy something you csn add the carb content and sugar together to get the full picture.
I would not be deducting the one of the other
Trust the process, the results will come

29.3 carb content is the total, which is inclusive of the 0.1 sugars.

I still don't understand why the carb content is HIGHER for 100% than for 85( 18g per 100g...aldi) or 90....the Lindt I mentioned above. Lindt 99% is 51g fat and 8g carbs.
As fat content goes up, carb usually goes down...in my experience anyway.
