    Yes I'll have to do it again, this time with some veg in it. Shame I can't have the cheese!

    Mine had a total Cheese overload but that was in the Recipe!!

    Oh yes! - That is what happens!- The cheese seems to come out from the bacon and I just scoop it up and stuff it back over it all! -

    Going to try making this tonight but wanted to check something: I know you say the recipe is flexible but in the original recipe they call for capsicums. Did you use chilli peppers or sweet peppers (if you used either)? Looking forward to tasting it at last - not convinced 5 yr old will like it but I'll give it a go!

    I didn't - Just used Mince and onion for one - Still tasted fine!

    Mmm. Mince, onion and mixed herbs sounds like a giant sausage. I'm liking the sound of that. Thanks Mat.

    I have only used peppers once - half a yellow pepper that needed using up. I don't like dill so used mixed herbs.

    It's the cheese and bacon that makes it

    Lay the bacon on lengthways starting at the bottom of one side and working over the loaf/sausage/limpe. That way you should cover the short ends too.
