Does chocolate reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease?

That’s what we were told on Tuesday 16th June: “Heart researchers at the University of Aberdeen found that eating up to 100g of chocolate a day reduced the risk of suffering a stroke by 23 per cent".

The claim for stroke and coronary heart disease together (what is termed cardiovascular disease – CVD) was a 14% risk reduction.
