    Default Fat Bombs...for Those Doing Keto/LCHF

    I found these on a low carb site. They can also be downloaded as a free eBook.
    I've put them in phase 3 as they are not for everybody. Best confined to those who fully understand Harcombe.

    My children made Gingerbread at the weekend and the smell whilst cooking and subsequent biscuit a day for pudding has really tested my resolve. Then I came upon this fat bomb thread and thought I had the answer:
    2tbsp grass fed butter
    1tbsp double cream
    1 tsp ground ginger
    0.5 tsp cinnamon
    0.25 tsp all spice
    Just tested the 'raw' mixture before putting in the fridge and it tastes like the smell of gingerbread ! .... but then a strange after taste - grrrr the grass fed butter is salted and that does not quite work for this recipe.

    Oh well I think I shall have much fun experimenting with this. Just what I needed as the choc cravings are strong at the moment.

    Fantastic, thank you. They look easily adaptable and almost certainly don't need sweetener. They'd be great for the times I would have gone for a hunk of cheese and am now tempted by a carb snack instead.

    A lot of them seem to have splenda in them? That wouldnt be good huh..

    Generally you don't need it. It's a "keto" thing, they love their sweeteners! If anything, I add raw honey, making it about 1/4 teaspoon or less per bomb.

    I don't put sweeteners in mine...and I wouldn't bother putting any in these.

    @ Sally...I know what you mean,and I recently found a brand stocked by Sainsburys called Lucy Bee. Its not so "oily" tasting as other brands. Almost creamy. Sold by Amazon also. It has fantastic revues.

    I've made a few - i'm starting to struggle with coconut oil now though, it makes me gag
