I tend to do really basic meals - nothing fancy. I rarely actually look at a recipe.

    steak and roasted veggies

Chicken wrapped in bacon with salad

omelettes/ fritattas/ crustless quiche - with any number of combos of veg (courgette, onion and tomato is one of my favourites)

    home made burgers with salad

chicken with stir fry veg (and soy sauce)

    pork chops with roasted veggies

various salads - tuna, chicken and bacon, egg etc

On phase 2 and 3 I have just added a little dairy, cheese, creme fraiche sauces, cream etc - though I can't have too much before my stomach reacts

Becky, this sounds scrumptious, especially steak & roasted veges & chicken stir fry!

I might also try pea soup, it sounds very creamy, mmm...

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Amina, I am just completing day 1 of phase 1. I know what you mean about the chapatis. I feel a bit lost without them even though I dont have them everyday. I still have a couple times a week. Wish me luck

    Hi Misbah,

I wish you every success with your weight loss.

Btw, how has phase 1 been for you so far?

I agree that it's tough leaving chapatis but you can have them with carbs or veg.

I make lamb chops and it gets very hard eating without chapatis ....but by the time I've had four lamb chops, I am already quite full.

    Hi all

I am just about to start phase 1 and would be great if you could help with a couple of quick questions. Is is ok to use soy sauce in my stir fry? Is it ok to have mince in my chilli (planning on a mince and veg chilli).

Thanks and good luck to those on phase 1.

    Hi Lisa

Yes soy sauce is allowed and is great with your stir fry

I asked the same question about mince, and had several replys saying it was fine, i have since ate it and been fine.

Good luck with Phase one, let us know how you do

Hi there, sorry to say that soy sauce is not allowed on phase 1 because it feeds candida , but mince is fine . a lot of soy sauces contain sugar and wheat , so always make sure when you do have it in phase 2 that you get the Sanchi Tamari soy sauce, which is good . Melissa x

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome to the forums! - How have you found the first day?

Humus should not be eaten on Phase 1 - On phase 2 is is always best to make your own - That way you know there are no nasties in it!
